Become an Anti-Poaching Advocate—Pledge Below!

Poaching is a multi-billion dollar industry that’s pushing many species to the brink of extinction. According to the World Wildlife Fund, there was a 3,000% increase in Rhino poaching between 2007 and 2011. An estimated 12,000 African elephants are killed each year because of ivory.

Poachers’ methods are incredibly brutal, with stories of rhinos bleeding to death, baby gorillas getting caught in traps, and elephants brought down by power lines. Without immediate action, more and more animals each year are going to suffer and die needlessly.
Even though poaching may seem like it’s happening thousands of miles away, you can make a difference. Take the steps below and become an anti-poaching advocate!
I pledge to become an anti-poaching advocate by taking the following steps:
- Don’t bring home wildlife souvenirs! When you travel abroad, make sure that trinket you picked up doesn’t support illegal poaching.
- Learn more about poaching and its disastrous effect on endangered species worldwide.
- Consider supporting organizations like the World Wildlife Fund, Wildlife Conservation Society, and the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
